- Title: Namibia YOUTH ACTION MOVEMENT

- IPPF Global Programme objectives:
- To strengthen commitment to and support for the sexual and reproductive health and rights and needs of adolescents/young people,
- To promote participation of adolescents/young people in governance and in the identification, development and management of programmes that affect them,
- To increase access to comprehensive, youth friendly, gender sensitive sexuality education,
- To increase access to a broad range of youth friendly services and
- To reduce gender-related barriers and practices which affect the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young women.

- Association’s Strategic Objective: To enhance young people’s participation in governance, programme planning, implementation and evaluation
- Overall Objective:
- To provide a forum and set mechanisms for young people to express themselves as active participants and decision makers
- To build leadership capacity among young people in the MA
- To enhance youth participation/involvement/empowerment and representation at MA level

- IPPF Global Programme objectives:
- To reduce social, religious, cultural, economic, legal and political barriers that make people vulnerable to HIV/AIDS
- To increase access to interventions for the prevention of STIs and HIV/AIDS through integrated, gender-sensitive and reproductive health programmes
- To increase access to care, support and treatment for people infected by HIV and to increase support for those affected by HIV/AIDS
- To strengthen the programmatic and policy linkages between sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS
- Association’s strategic Goal: To reduce HIV/AIDS prevalence among young people and protection of the rights of those infected and affected
- Association’s Strategic Objective: To increase young people’s knowledge and skills around HIV/AIDS as an integral part of sexual and reproductive health
- Overall Objective:
- To increase the number of sexually active individuals using condoms (male and female) consistently during sexual intercourse over a period of 1 year in Ohangwena and Hardap by 10% by 2007

- IPPF Global Programme objectives:
- To promote and enhance the provision of equitable, efficient, and cost-effective governance at all levels in the federation
- To assure IPPF’s stakeholders of its commitment to maintaining high standards of constitutional integrity, programmes and services, governance, and management through periodic accreditation of Member Associations
- Association’s strategic Goal: Strengthen the institutional capacity of NAPPA to become a dynamic and sustainable leading youth sexual and reproductive health organisation
- Association’s Strategic Objective: To strengthen the governance of NAPPA in order to fulfil its role as a member of the IPPF
- Overall Objective:
- To strengthen the Association’s capacity to adhere to the IPPF Standards and Responsibilities, placing emphasis on the submission of action plans from branches with clear roles for volunteers and implementation strategies
- Implementation location: Windhoek (NAPPA Head Office)
- Title: RESOURCE MOBILISATION

- IPPF Global Programme objectives:
- To increase overall income to the federation
- To diversify income sources at all levels
- To increase the capacity of staff and volunteers in resource mobilisation at all levels of the Federation
- Association’s strategic Goal: Strengthen the capacity of NAPPA to become a dynamic and sustainable leading youth sexual and reproductive health organisation
- Association’s Strategic Objective: To increase and stabilise the resource base of NAPPA
- Overall Objective:
- To increase NAPPA’s visibility among development partners and stakeholders
- To strengthen NAPPA’s prospects for short and long term resource mobilisation strategies
